About the North Carolina Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) System

Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) programs have provided essential services in North Carolina for more than 40 years. The North Carolina CCR&R Council has organized the CCR&R system into 14 regional lead agencies and 62 local agencies to provide consistency to these essential services across the state for more than 20 years.

CCR&R Council's Mission
CCR&R Council's Mission

To partner with the North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE) and the 14 CCR&R regions to support a strong child care resource and referral statewide system by:

  1. providing high quality CCR&R services across the state
  2. ensuring that families, child care providers and communities have access to high quality CCR&R services

This will, in turn, ensure that high quality early childhood education programs with highly competent teachers are available for children and their families.
