Birth-Three Quality Initiative (B3QI)

The Infant Toddler Quality Enhancement Project (ITQEP) was established to improve the quality and availability of infant/toddler care in North Carolina through forging collaborative partnerships with teachers and directors.

Infant Toddler Specialists (ITS) have extensive knowledge, certifications and specialized training in infant and toddler care and development. They offer support and training in your area through the NC Infant Toddler Quality Enhancement Project (ITQEP), a special project of the NC Child Care Resource & Referral Council. Each county has an ITS dedicated to supporting its child care centers.

Technical Assistance/Coaching is offered at no cost to you through funding from the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education.

Cost for training depends upon the agency offering the training.

Please reach out to a member of the Infant Toddler Enhancement Project team or the Specialist in your area.
